For all those girls who had never competed
in a triathlon or are new to the sport,
the all girls Noosa Triathlon themed
camp held in late August in Noosa Heads
was an opportunity to good to pass up
for seventeen ladies of all ages and
abilities. A great chance to learn over
a weekend filled with activities and
supply the answers to questions such
as “What’s it like swimming
in open water surrounded by hundreds
of people and how do I survive!”,
“how do I change a flat tyre?”
and “what does transition mean?”
Like all Noosa Tri Camp packages, the
All Women's Camp featured specific clinics
run by professionals in their own field
topics such as nutrition for optimal
performance and general day to day,
body maintenance and injury prevention
plus Yoga with a triathlon and female
twist. All aspects of the Noosa triathlon
are covered with the girls taking in
the Noosa tri course over the weekend
in parts but in a fun and relaxed environment
with the social interaction and end
of day activities at local cafes very
much and important part of the weekend's
bonding and culture.
The Noosa Tri themed camps cater for
all athletes from those relatively new
to the sport and are either doing their
first season up to seasoned age group
champions that are looking to continue
their progress in the sport.
The all girls camp allowed the ladies
to come away from the camp with the
knowledge and training know how, confidence
and skills to get to the finish line
but having a few laughs and some fun
along the way.
